As an intelligent goods carrier the smart tray can increase the level of service quality and further simplify the shopping process. Moreover, cross-selling potential can be maximized, for instance via outfit recommendations.

The products in the store are labeled with RFID-tags. As soon as the customer places a desired product on the smart tray, the product is recognized and customized digital content is displayed on screen. The customer can then access additional features and services via the touch panel.

Product descriptions, available sizes, colors, 360° product pictures, videos and outfit recommendations can be viewed. Via the touch screen, the selected products can be requested from a sales assistant, directly purchased and shared on social media.
